01The problem
Policies, handbooks and runbooks live in scattered files, so employees interrupt colleagues or act on outdated information to find simple answers.
02Why it's hard
Keeping AI answers grounded strictly in approved company documents, making every answer verifiable, and separating who curates knowledge from who consumes it.
03What we built
Built a retrieval-augmented assistant: admins curate a document knowledge base, members ask questions in plain language, and answers are generated only from retrieved sources with citations attached.
04Outcome
Delivered a working, deployed assistant that turns internal documentation into a searchable knowledge base with cited, verifiable answers.
Under the hood

- Document storage on Supabase Storage feeding the curated knowledge base
- LLM inference on Groq, with source citations attached to each answer
- Next.js chat interface built on the Vercel AI SDK
- Role-based access: admins curate documents, members get a focused assistant
